I am intrigued. It does say via Coniston, so I expect it's via Torver & Broughton-in-Furness?

Seems a funny route to me... ok I can understand the Ambleside to Coniston, maybe to Broughton in furness, but why Ravenglass? Possible via Millom? I'm not sure

20908 and 20945 are required at Kendal as well so would be very suprised. 20908 is now in service at Ambleside.

Nothing wrong with the 51 plate solos much better than new ones.

28513 Scania has worked on a 61 out of Preston @ 17:00. I don't normally see Scania's on this service. If someone can advise me otherwise.

I would imagine that it was simply what was available.

If I recall correctly, wasn't this one of the batch sent to Chorley for a while in the early 00s? I definitely remember 1008/9/10 being at Chorley. Quite nice to drive, although they didn't have cab heaters and our DE refused to fit them.

The only insight I can offer is that 14245 arrived at Barrow before 2006, and remained there until withdrawn in December 2009.

It was reinstated, now in CMS Cumberland Livery, to Kendal in June 2010.
