Sorry I/we can't be of any more assistance. As for EMUs, I honestly don't know...

I'm probably being stupid as usual, but where am I supposed to put the new maps once I've downloaded them?
I've tried unzipping it to various locations in and around the OpenTTD files, but when I open the game, I can't then find the new maps... |

Put them in the Scenario folder. It should then find them automatically.
Alternatively, open the game, and create a new Scenario using a name that doesn't mean anything but is easy to remember (e.g. Game1). Then use the Search function on your computer to locate the folder it is saved in, and move the other files there with it. |

Loving the South East map, going to download the South West map later and will post screenshots of both games tomorrow night, currently building a tramway network in the South East extending from Slough as far as Virginia Water, Gerrards Cross, Rickmansworth, Southall and Ruislip. Going to replicate in the South West starting in Penzance.
By the way I am from the South West |
