From what I remember, the Montreal Metro has some decent, modern stock. It's the Toronto Subway that needs new trains.

The MR-63 fleet was built by Vickers came into service when the m´tro opened in 1966. They were derived from a French design, namely the MP-59 that are still used on the Parisian m´tro lines 4 and 11. The MR-73 were introduced in 1976. They are aesthetically similar, discernible by their different headlights and fascia designs and different interior refurbishments. They also sound different due to different electrical motors and braking systems. Incidentally, for more information that you could hope to consume in a single day about the Montréal métro, its stations, artwork and rolling stock, see metrodemontreal.com |

Disappointed the new Montreal cars are not air-conditioned, as they are very warm throughout the year.
