There's a surprisingly high proportion of photos, of varying vintages, taken along the Settle & Carlisle this week.
My vote is for number 19, although I like both of the S&C class 108 shots, 10 and 21, too, and there are a couple of other noteworthy images as well.

19 is very good, but for me the sense of motion coupled with the contrast of colours between the Grand Central livery and the backdrop in number 14 clinches it.

#19 really is something else. A truly spectacular shot with a clear subject and a fantastic contrasting background...
...on a related note, why did I bother entering? |

I don't think mine is going to do too well, it was just a quick snap before our train was announced

7 and 12 are the only ones better than the one I submitted (which isn't 19).

7, 9, 10 and 19 are all something a bit 'different' which is something I always look for. I'll wait until I see a better quality image (I am using a mobile connection at the moment) before I decide! (and no I've no idea who uploaded which picture, although you've effectively given yours away in the description combined with your username!) |

No19 very good, like the background but opted for no 10 .... just like the simpleness and the perspective in the zoom, a real 3 second shot to prepare and get it in the can, no margin for error! A 1987 special shot of film I guess not digital. Sums up S&C.

You forgot to add "IMHO"
Thanks for the votes, really pleased to have come first in such a large entry.
