While it's nice the proceeds will go to a good cause, I can't help but feel £40 is very steep in the tour is just going to traverse the Met line - I know the A Stock is cleared to few other places, but even so £40 seems a lot. I still really want to see the stock off though, and as I don't live near London - it's my only real chance!

Thanks for the information. It's good to hear that they're giving the remaining A Stock a spin in service while they are still available.
I have good memories of waiting ages at Clapham Common back in October 1999 for one of the few remaining 1959 stock to appear in service for the evening peak. |
