Not done this route for ages. What, why and who do the sorry looking locos north of Burton on Trent belong to? (Includes some Fertis 56s).

The site is owned by Nemesis Rail who also own most of the rolling stock there. Their site is still a working maintenance depot, some of the 56s you see outside may well end up in Hungary for use with the operater Floyd. The ex Fastline machines however I think are used ny Nemesis for spothire work should the need arise.
The ex Fastline Class 56s have moved on and are now at Washwood Heath. The Burton site does look rather like a glorified scrapyard, although a few of the locos there are operational or are being worked on.
Only one of the 56 there, which should most of the time be inside the depot, is Hungary bound. This is 56117 which is owned by Europheonix.
The 08s and 09s, 20903 and 20904 are owned by Harry Needle.
The other 56s are owned by Ed Stevenson & Mark Winter.
The 25, 26, 33s and 37s are owned by various companies.
47375, 47488, 47744, 73117, 73134, 31108 and 31461 are owned by Nemesis Rail. And the coaches are owned by Railfilms.
Hope this helps, Sam
