South West Trains at Reading

Apologies if this has already been posted, I've been away recently and have only just returned.

As I was returning from a week away in Cardiff, I noticed today a South West Trains Class 159 in P12 at Reading, running a 5Z service to Basingstoke Carriage Sidings. I have never seen this before, or even a 159 at Reading, and wondered what this was about...

Route learning before the Waterloo blockade? ISTR trains off the Exeter line are going to Reading? The unit came up from Totton off the 1638 Winchester passenger.

As mentioned, most likely route learning as the plans are for the Salisbury stoppers to divert to Reading during the Waterloo blockade.

Use of SWT DMUs to Reading on a few peak services has been covered intermittently in the main Waterloo Blockade thread here:

A Realtimetrains query for the period will show what's going on, it isn't all day by any means, I found 8 trains:

However looking at RTT for that day, it seems there is some missing trains, mainly the Salisbury locals between 09:00 & 17:00

The SWT pdf timetable for Exeter - Salisbury - Waterloo isn't online yet either. Taking it down to the wire. However the service description for the stations such as Overton does still mention hourly Reading diversions. Wonder why they cannot be confirmed yet?
