Now I can't use my brilliant clue which was "Dat's de wrong answer" because you have got most of it.

Having got that far you might as well have googled "Dis" to see if you could find the rest which are:

Dis - a fictional city (The Divine Comedy)
Diss - a town in England
Dis - a female dwarf (Tolkein)
Dis - a ghost, spirit or deity (Norse mythology)
Dis - a genus of skippers in the butterfly family Hesperiidae

You did the hard bit so it's your turn...

I did had a quick Google, but searched for "diss", and got very little in response. :/

Next up:

Identify the following sequence:

M:1,4
E:2,6
P:3,8
B:4:10
...

Yes indeed. The sequence is the number of carbon and hydrogen atoms in each of the simple hydrocarbons (specifically the alkane structures).

Your chemistry set, Dale.

Thanks Dale! Is it S.S. Esquire?

Your welcome. No it's not S.S. Esquire.

S. S. Esperanto? Or is that the despair squid talking to me?

Neither is it S.S. Esperanto. That pesky squid has lead you up the garden path.

Now I'm going to go cryptic on you. In the picture below although part of the name has been cut off what remains contains the whole name.

Going on the clue you gave?

Did saying it out loud help? Your turn...

Yes it did although I felt a bit silly.

Next question. Where would you find these useful bits of advice?

SINGLE MEN. Convince people that you have a girlfriend by standing outside Topshop with bags of shopping, looking at your watch and occasionally glancing inside.

DEAD butterflies make excellent hang gliders for spiders.

NEW mothers. Estimate the size your child will be when fully grown and christen them Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large accordingly. When they are older they will automatically have their name sewn into their clothing.

SAINSBURY'S directors. Attract more people into your stores by not getting Jamie Oliver to do the adverts, and using the money to make the beans and things a bit cheaper.
