Delay Repay Question

On my trip back from York today my train from St. Pancras to home was delayed by over 30 minutes. The guard helpfully came over the PA to remind everyone to apply for Delay Repay.

Two questions:

1: It wants to know my departing and arriving stations. Now do I put in the place where I got off the delayed train (Sittingbourne) or the place where my ticket is to (Kemsley, one stop up the branch line)?

2: How much am I likely to get? I was on the return half of an Off-Peak Return which cost me £17.80.

Q1) It depends on the question, if it asks for your journey then I'd say Sittingbourne, however it would also be useful to know full details of the journey. (For example, you could potentially claim for the entire journey from York however I suspect not as you probably got a train 30 minutes earlier than what would be a booked connection, however without knowing the times it's impossible to say)

Q2) http://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk...y/delay-repay/ 50% of the return portion. If claiming on just that ticket, then around £4.45.

All it says is "Departing Station" and "Arriving Station", with drop down boxes. The other part of the journey was on a First Advance, BUT I didn't catch the St. Pancras train straight away. I spent a bit of time in the FC Lounge at KGX, before continuing my journey.

I received my Rail Travel Voucher for £4.45 yesterday. One question though: my nearest station has no ticket issuing facilities, can I use the voucher to purchase a ticket from the guard on the train?

Although depending on the TOC, the guard may tell you to buy at your destination instead (and you can do that if there's no guard), because apparently putting RTVs through an Avantix mobile can be a bit of a faff.

I learned to only put the relevant delayed bits in after putting Elstree & Borehamwood - Hatfield in the starting and ending stations for FCC delay repay - the train was at 00:01 the day after the ticket (a Travelcard from Hatfield) was dated, so still valid!

First they said 'We cannot find a train at 12.01pm on the 2nd. Also the ticket you provided is for the 1st can you please resubmit with the correct ticket.'
...I explained it was 12.01AM as stated on the form, and so the ticket was valid!

Eventually got my first RTV of £2.15 so it was worth persevering in the end
