Default Possible charter service Huddersfield to Wembley Central, Bank Holiday?

According to posts on the DATM Huddersfield Town fans' forum, talks are under way for a Charter service for the play-off final. Retro Railtours with DRS 68s likely.

Will update as things progress...

Perhaps, but talk is of Wembley Central- stock would probably then run on to Euston in any case to reverse?

If it was Wembley Central (and it's a fairly big if per other posts), wouldn't the stock just then stable at Wembley Yard whilst the game is on? I doubt they'd have it filling up (and paying for) a platform at Euston if it wasn't taking/collecting passengers from there?

Bookings to open at 7pm tonight according to Retro Railtours' Twitter. No indication yet whether to Wembley Central or Stadium - charters have gone there in the past, as well as to Central.

Bit confusing, as there are two threads about a charter train on the HTAFC forum - following post gives more details - definitely to Central. £60 in standard.

Update:
A special train will be operated between Huddersfield and Wembley Central (and return). First and Standard Class tickets will be available. Bookings will open (along with full details) approx 1900 this eve. Check Twitter (@retrorailtours) for updates.

Default Huddersfield & Marsden to Wembley Central for Play Off Final, Mon 29 May

See: http://www.retrorailtours.co.uk/huddersfield.php

Approx departure from Huddersfield 0700, Marsden 0715
And returning from Wembley Central approx. 1830

The fare is £66 standard and £99 first.

I'm sure we'll have some Huddersfield Town supporters on this forum who would be interested in this.

You may meet some forum members stewarding on this train.

I will ask James tomorrow for information regarding routeing and what is happening to the stock.

Hopefully the other questions are answered on the website.

Sorry; I made this thread without seeing there was already an existing one (I've now merged them), and I didn't notice the questions until now.

(and it would have opened for bookings at 7pm... if Northern Rail had provided WiFi )

It's Huddersfield - Marsden pick ups, then non-stop to Wembley Central via Reddish South, Crewe, WCML.

ECS to Wembley Depot.

If any forum members are interested in booking this (you do not have to go to the match, or even like football!) please reply here and I will be in touch regarding a discount.

This is booked via the Crewe 'independent lines' on the outward journey and possibly on the return journey too.

If anyone wants to travel one-way only, single fares are £46 using this link: http://www.retrorailtours.co.uk/huddersfieldsingles.php
