New Diesel Multiple Units
Swindon Inter City – Sc79110/11/55/56
Metro Cammell (Class 101) – E50156/57/62/63/64/65/66/67/68/69/70/71/72/73, E59060/73

In the month seventy steam locomotives were withdrawn, thirty three being over fifty years old with Midland Railway 0-6-0 58142 being the oldest at eighty two years old.

I have photographed some of the above later in life and it can be found in this collection. As always feedback and comments welcome.
