Default Staines / -upon-Thames

Is the station going to get new signage/name to reflect the town's new official name?

I believe this has been extensively discussed elsewhere on this forum, just can't remember where exactly! The answer is NO.

Richmond and Kingston stations didn't get their station name lengthened when those towns became "Upon Thames" so why should Staines be any different!
