Default R.I.P the Reverend Richard Paten

For those who don't know, the Reverend Richard Paten passed away on the 22nd July 2012. His funeral will be held on 15th August, which would have been his 80th birthday. He wanted to celebrate that day to launch an appeal for money to overhaul the standard 5 73050, the loco he brought in 1968 and eventually gave to the city of Peterborough to celebrate the railwaymen of Peterborough. The appeal is still going ahead, as the loco is due for an overhaul in the next 2 years. It will be a fitting memorial to Richard. A plate commemorating the purchase of the loco was fitted before his death, with the unavailing being done with representatives of the nene valley railway, the council, rail world and Richard being present.
