Simple question today, Bachmann's digital controller or Hornby's digital controller?

I'm waiting for the Hornby select to come out and to read some views, but I like the way you can use Hornby select to program locos to say 20 for a Class 20 to respond to, on bachmann you can only use numbers 1-9.

Yes that is true and with 0-128 speed steps there'll be some great contol over models.

The select is due out this month and prices are expected to skyrocket to about £60-70, the first DCC set the Mixed Goods is out now and comes with the Select unit, Hattons are selling some off.

Yeah just had a look there, there isnt a great deal more with the elite either. Only advantage Bachmann have is that their DCC controllers are currently cheaper, but for an extra £10 looks like i may be going with the Hornby 'Select'.
