Bit of a long shot but I don't suppose anybody on this forum kept a record of where all the K/DAO B10Ms went after leaving Stagecoach? Or where they are now?

Any help would be appreciated.

Another open day been and gone.
10028 up from Morecambe, 14245 and 22121 (with vinyls getting quite tatty) from Kendal, 34702 from Carlisle, and naturally Lillyhall's own 22609.
A surprise visitor came in the way of Aberdeen's bendy Interurban 51063, which done a few shuttle runs down into Workington, which surprised a lot of residents seeing a bendy coach driving through Workington!

35246 is engineless on the pits, after going bang on 300. 17246 fully repainted, not had a ramp fitted yet, and is waiting to have LED's fitted. It is now a 68 seater. 22140 has had its bike racks removed, with the lower area seats refitted.
"Death Row" comprised of 47616, 16733 (leaning quite a bit, looks like not moved for a while), 52268, 40028, 16708, 16397, 20133, 20965, 20545, 33162 and the stored Routemaster.
52628 parked up with the withdrawn vehicles on drivers car park area. 47018 up from Kendal for MOT, parked in a dead lane.

Non-Stagecoach vehicles were Bristol VR PHH 149W (ex 15731), Leyland Nationals WHH 556S (Lillyhall built), KHH 378W (Cumberland), TXJ 507K (SELNEC), XCW 995R (Fishwicks), OFV 620X (Fishwicks) and OJD 868R (Chase livery), Barrow Transport Groups 170 and 2 Talbot's, Lodekka 109 DRM, Irish Flexibus IBZ 3051, Routemaster RCL2223, and Plaxton Supreme DYW 184V. There could have been a few other things, can't remember.

Quite the bus, hopefully you got a ride on it! Was certainly one of the eye-candy's for visitors.
Openday was, okay. Lacking in buses from other depots, suppose understandable with Olympic moves etc. Would have been nice to have more up though - but what was there was interesting to see, especially 51063!

End of the day seen a nostalgic gathering of Leyland Nationals at the event on show for a photoshoot outside the old Leyland factory of Workington. Nice way to end the day for those who stuck around!

That was certainly a nice way to end the day!
One of my shots from the shoot
And one of the factory for comparison, while still operational with Leyland (Photo: Brian Pritchard)

Oh yes, went into town on it, then about an hour or so later went back to the depot on it.

.
Not all withdrawn in the compund. 16714 was there which has a typical Busways leak in the cab and down he stairs etc. There was a couple of the Preston Olympians and another LTN there too off memory as well as 20913. 47019 also there.

47021 should now be at Kendal for prep along with the last London Trident for the 599 which will see the end of 16393.

I am thinking of going up to the Lake District on the Saturdays Only X8 Chorley to Keswick service.

Is the service operated by buses based at Chorley or Preston?

With new buses going south for the Olympics & others being moved around, what is likely to be used?

I believe Preston operate the service and use either a 2004 or a 2005 Trident. I am not aware of any plans for these to move in relation to the Games so I would assume that they will use said Tridents again this year

The last time I saw it I believe it was in the hands of 18374 as seen here:

Was mainly 18374 last year due to it having a tacho, which the route requires.

I hope it doesn't produce an R Reg clapped out Oly.

I would be quite happy with 18374.

There shouldn't be any Oly's at all to go on it. All of Preston's were withdrawn, and I'd imagine 16651 has moved back over to Chorley by now.
16642, 16647 and 16776 were last seen parked up in Carlisle, 16645 is parked up at Lillyhall with new flooring and brand new high back seats fitted.

18374 certainly was the main one last year, but the PX54's got on a few times too. This year could see some of the other ex Kendal ones that still had tacho's. I suppose if they feel very generous, 2 of the 56 plate E400's used to/still have tacho's fitted (they got on a few times a couple of years ago, along with 15466 and the old Joncks).
