That's ridiculous. Why would SWT use 153s, which are diesel-powered as we know, on an electrified route??? It defeats the object. Also, SWT would have to fork out to have the units - 3 in Devon & Cornwall black & gold, 1 in Heart of Wessex livery - reliveried or somewhat I would have thought. No way, I can't see SWT taking on these units.

Update:

Ok, just looked on railwaycentre.com (been at work all day btw, didn't finish until gone 8pm), & apparently the units are destined for the 'North of England', doesn't specify who. There's a nice picture of them on the front page showing them going through Branksome. No other news at mo.
