I do double check everything before posting my replies I know I'm new at this but...

Anyways as with those in the 97/3 subclass they were in the 37/1 and 37/2 classes before so are class 37s (they were actually only converted for testing for the 38s and 60s and, officially, are still class 37s ).

No they are not

*serious hat*
They were testing grounds for the 98. Not an actual 98

[Pedantic]

No such thing as a 37/1 or 37/2, they are 37/0's but the numbers kust going into the 371xx and 372xx range due to how many 37/0's there are.

Indeed this is true.

So I don't want to be hearing any 37/8 nonsense

True - I should read a whole page of text rather than just one paragraph and assuming things about numbering conventions .

Then again ALL 309 class 37s were of the /0 subclass when built. Refurbishment and other modifications made other subclasses, which as Tom correctly states there was no 37/8.

OK I'll stop trying to sound clever now.
