This seems like a silly question but what is simsig, i dont really know much about it.

Is it like BVE? if so, is it better?

it is basically like sitting in a power signal box and you have to control the trains in the same way you would in real life. www.simsig.co.uk has all the details on products they have and how to install, I'd recommend it, it's a good challenge and is entertaining.

I've been using SimSig for several years
Start off with an area you know, sadly they haven't any power boxes for Scotland but I am quite familiar with London Kings Cross and Stafford
Most simulations cover four screens and when busy that can be a challenge, however this also allows chained simulations with other people each controlling their own screen, or more recently adjoining simulations

The main advantage over other such signalling simulations is that you can edit or create your own timetables, although sadly for the Stafford simulation you cannot amend the line speeds or layout

I can't wait for the TRENT sim to come out. It appears it's going to be MASSIVE! Anyone know if it will include Derby and Nottingham?

It will include Nottingham, but not Derby. Including Derby would be a bit over the top in my opinion, it is big enough as it is .

Thats a shame. I would have liked to tried Derby! Hopefully it could be a future SimSig. Anybody know when Trent is likely to come out? Or the new Sheffield version for that matter, can't wait to try them.

Edit: Also does the Trent sim start at Clay Cross Junction?

Trent does start at Clay Cross Jn and it will be released when it is finished, there is no fixed date for that.
