Do they tend to only advertise on their own websites?
All the rail personnel sites I can find seem to only have high-level engineering roles.

Your best bet is probably to keep an eye on the TOC websites. If they're going to advertise anywhere, that would be logical place to start! I believe some TOCs (such as London Midland, for example) also make use of local press.
