As many of you will have noted from Mojo's message at the beginning of this month, 2009 was our busiest and most successful year. Thanks to this, we are in a fortunate position to be able to make a £50 donation to charity.
Following a discussion among the staff, we decided it would be most appropriate to make the donation to 'The Railway Children' charity and this was done earlier today. This charity receives a lot of support from the railway industry and many members will have already heard about the work of this organisation, or perhaps been on one or more of the railtours which have been run in recent years to raise funds. If you haven't heard about the charity, which works in the UK, India & Africa with vulnerable children and young people living alone and at risk on the streets in need of care and protection, you can find out more by visiting http://www.railwaychildren.org.uk. ![]() Why not consider making a donation to The Railway Children as well and support this worthy cause? Many thanks for your support. |

Firstly, well done. It's not often a website like this would donate to a charity. It's nice to see - I'm sure charities need money more than ever at the moment.
To the members - if you do decide to donate to the Railway Children, my hat off to you. The Railway Children truly are a wonderful charity and help a lot of vulnerable young people. They're supported by the TOC's and LU, and generally shops at stations they have collection pots for them.
