Default [FRA] SNCF not to be Privatised

From: http://www.iii.co.uk/news/?type=afxn...action=article
/*
PARIS (AFX) - Transport Minister Dominique Perben said the French government is not privatising state railway SNCF, has no plan for doing so and is not even studying it.

"The subject does not exist," he said after discussing the matter with Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin.

SNCF chairman Louis Gallois, also denying plans for a privatisation, accused unions -- which are planning a strike on Nov 21 to protest against preparations for a sell-off -- of concocting an "artificial reason" for their action.

Interesting becouse Brussels already decided that EVERY rail system in Europe should be privatised....

And SNCF is already splitted into: SNCF regional, SNCF Grande Lignes and FRET SNCF.

But that's just sectorisation, not privatisation. British Rail was the same (Regional Railways, InterCity, Network SoutEast and whatever the freight service was called)
