Default New harry potter

Right in this trailer there's a scene were one of death eaters stops the hogwarts express? anyone know where it is filmed its just after 1:20 it doesnt look CGI so i wondered if it was in scotland somewhere?

This was on Rannoch Moor, between Rannoch and Corrour, filmed in September last year.

Some photos from the filming here (not mine).

Out of curiosity, when did they film this, and did it affect rail services?

I know the West Highland Line is fairly quiet, but given the time it takes for a shoot, surely they'd have gotten in the way of scheduled rail services?

Sat and Sun 19 & 20 Sept last year.

Filming runs fitted around scheduled services.

the train as far as i know survives ( i read books long time ago and lets face it the films follows it very vaugely ) they just stop and have a nosy round
