I actually laughed out loud
Following on from Carstairs; Salford Crescent, both have lines passing around its island platform, but no actual platform for trains to stop

Norton Bridge... island platform, ½ the tracks bypass it.
The fact that nothing can stop there is irrelevant, but could lead to the next entry! |

Hmm, I found it tickling too, then again I suppose its what type of humour you are into... There are several jokes about 9/11 and Lockerbie floating around, but I repeat them on here I'd be banned.
From Polesworth, Arlesey, both stations on a four-track Mainline that only have platforms on the outer two.

It takes all sorts. Probably shouldn't have posted it really. Wilnecote, the only other station in the Royal Mail post town Tamworth that isn't called Tamworth. Last edited by 4SRKT; 28th December 2010 at 12:01. Reason: Double post prevention system |

Hinckley - the TOC which manages the station doesn't have any trains calling there.

Thorpe-le-Soken, both have had major resignalling works within the station area over the past few years.

Wow, I thought that was a dead end until I thought of Lisvane & Thornhill, another proper ampersand station.
