I was on a Football Special from Middlesbrough to Sunderland operated by Northern a few years back and as nobody had been told about it I was one of about 4 on the full train, which IIRC was a 156

You or your party should be guaranteed a 'train' to yourself on this...

Queen Street to Springburn around 11am. Always empty.
Had a carriage all to myself today. Bridgeton to Blantyre around 10am this morning. I'm think that's just a one-off though.

Royston to Foxton on Sunday nights between 10-30 pm and midnight. Once was the only person on the whole 4 car train. Curiously the last train is generally busy.

Slightly off beam, but if you want an aircraft to yourself, BA1409 2140 MAN-LHR is the one. Apparently its main purpose is to keep a slot active at Heathrow so BA don't lose it. Usually an Airbus A320, 4 cabin crew, passenger load only ever just in double figures.

Surely that would be more likely to get a passenger or two than the 07:34 Clarbeston Road - Fishguard Harbour? Also, I've been on the 20:05 Clarbeston Road - Fishguard Harbour (connection from 17:39 off Cardiff) which had three passengers (including myself) in a 2-car unit (class 150).

The 1825 (LM) Bedford-Bletchley had just one or two other passengers besides myself between Bedford and Bedford St Johns on 31/12/2011. The conductor was somewhat bored, and was thus quite keen to help with anything he could, as I have mentioned somewhere else. That was a 153, so LM were evidently (and rightly) trying not to go over the top in providing carriages...

I was on the 2033 Paddington-Exeter FGW HST one Saturday last year and I was the only passenger in coach A after Taunton. When I got off at Exeter, there were probably no more than a dozen passengers in total who got off the train.

Here's one from today: 1058 Rhyl to 1114 Llandudno Junction. One fellah on his own. And me with my trolley.

Autumn 2008 on a FEVE narrow gauge service from Oviedo to Ferrol in Northern Spain. Two 2 car DMUs in multiple, with no corridor connection between the units. No one else in the rear unit for four hours of the journey, no guard, no trolley, no passengers, just me.

Don't they normally have vending machines instead of trolleys in Spain?
