The BBC Highlights reel (here; approximately two minutes in) certainly suggests the referee got it wrong.
I have just seen it and its debatable if it was a penalty or not, its one of those where you have seen it given but also not given and nothing awarded at all. The yellow was very harsh I agree, and thats the 3rd time this tournament the Greeks have had harsh yellow cards (Papastathopoulos' yellows in the first game, neither were even fouls)

It comes with standing at precisely the same spot at Twerp station whenever I go home It gives me Special Powers. Special Powers that allowed me to win the average league last time out!

Or maybe it's my avatar

It must be something because I've scored two points from four matches

FIRST QUARTER-FINAL FIXTURES

Thu 21/06 E211 Czech Republic v Portugal (1945)
Fri 22/06 E212 Germany v Greece (1945)

These fixtures will be republished in Post #3 when the other two fixtures are confirmed. Players may opt to provide their predictions for these two results now, or may wait until the remaining two are determined. Remember that prediction points will be doubled in the Knock-Out stages.

-----------------

A much-improved round for all concerned saw every player score a minimum of three points for the day, with only two zero scores among the entire group and only one player failing to score at least one three- or five- point haul - although, curiously, only andrew bell managed a high score in both games (and even then both of his results were three-pointers). gnolife and valenta set the standard for the round, with seven points in all, resulting in the former extending his lead at the top over Andrew after seeing it shrink yesterday. Two other players managed six points (with exactly the same predictions!), resulting in one of the two, Temple Meads, opening a five-point gap over newbie babs in the race for third and the other, Ivo, halting his recent slide and jumping two positions as a result - leaving the bottom two as the familiar names of SS4 and bb21.

Today was a rare change in Euro 2012 in that it saw fewer cards than goals. This compares favourably to yesterday, which saw just two goals - and 14 cards. Between the two, we currently have 17 cards and 8 goals.

Am I allowed to make another prediction - I want to predict that bb21 will finish top of the group stage, after getting all remaining scores perfectly, plus the bonus for cards and the one for goals scored

I'd also like to predict that Ivo will finish second...

What? I'm being serious here

I am sorry to say that I have found an error in the table. One player's bonus points for Round Two were not being considered in relation to his points tally since that round was completed. This has now been corrected. The person in question has received a PM in relation to the matter.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
With just one round to go before the Group Stage comes to a close, gnolife continues to lead the table by a respectable margin. However, neither of his bonus predictions looks likely to score in this round - in fact, his card prediction is already doomed! - which could yet cause him problems. Temple Meads has now caught andrew bell in the race for second place, but with Andrew likely to score a card bonus in this round he could yet claim that 12 headstart after all. Irrespective of those results however, the race for fourth is really hotting up, with four contestants separated by just two points (and then newbie babs has only fallen away after a poor showing in today's fixtures)! The final headstart slot, which could be so vital in the race for the Semi-Finals, will go down to the wire.

At the other end, bb21 may yet avoid the wooden spoon for the Group Stage. He is still bottom - but is just one point behind sonic2009 and SS4!

Today's action was a return to the ways of the Group A finale, with twelve yellows - two of which were for the same Irishman, Keith Andrews - and only three goals. This round has now seen 29 cards and 11 goals, which is a massive differential of 18.

I'll take that And looking at the likely bonuses for this round, it isn't even that unlikely!

I'd be quite happy to - its nice to be on top for something footbAll related - I support what must be one of the most unpredictable teams you could choose, which is never going to go well for winning leagues

Unpredictable in that they kept finishing in places where they should have been relegated but never were relegated you mean?

Is it true that Ricky Ponting is a major shareholder at Altrincham? If yes: Boo!!!!!!

No chance. Unless the two games generate more than eight goals, I'm nailed on for six points.

Even England aren't that hopeless

...although the last Group D round did produce seven, which was close.

to the first point, that, plus the fact that in a week, I've known them to go from winning 12-1 (Sunday, Cheshire Senior Cup fixture), to losing 5-2 (Tuesday, League), to winning 6-1 (Saturday, League), and the fact that they have a tendency to lose to the pathetic clubs, and hold their own against bigger clubs
To the second point, yes, its true, because he's a friend of the former Alty chairman Geoff Goodwin.
