A list I saw on Facebook said it was 150101/104/106/108 (due to move on the 3rd), but obviously that might have changed.
About 3 weeks ago I did post a list on here detailing what was moving when.

I've read on Group that only 2 may go into Barton Hill tomorrow and, obviously difficult to work on 4 at once, the other 2 will be temporarily sub-leased back to GWR to assist in the current shortage. Don't take this as Gospel at the moment

I can confirm that 5Z50 has departed St Phillips Marsh at 1527, a whole 29 minutes early.

http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K97243/2018/02/03/advanced

IT HASN'T, I got fooled by the same thing, and it seems RRT has done too! There is TWO 5Z50's due off from Phillip Marsh, one at 1503 to Cardiff Central, the one that tracked, then the Newton Heath one that HAS NOT set off yet.

UPDATE: It is now mobile, seems to have been attached to have started from Bristol Temple Meads, so may have been attached to the first 5Z50 (1503 to Cardiff), showing as 150101, 150123 and 150129 currently heading for Bristol Parkway

Two 5Z50's? How did that happen?

As the train 5Z50 went to Cardiff to work, a Rugby special back to Bristol TM, was running was running as 9Z50 indicating a Turbo they couldn't have run coupled. The mix up was caused by the 2 x 5Z50s and their reporting. You can have as many 5Z50s across the Network as you like so long as there is no route clash which seems to have happened here.

It's one thing I've never been able to get my head around! There's so many number/letter combinations available yet it's possible two can be the same. A problem occurred a few years ago when a train hit a landslide in the Halifax area. The train became derailed so they started another train up from Bradford IC in the path of the derailed service using a new crew and set but using the same headcode. An NRN call went out requesting the driver of 2??? but the wrong driver answered. To cut a long story short, a lot of confusion was caused. In a similar situation now where a train has been replaced in the path of another a 'G' replaces the original letter. For example 2N45 would become 2G45.

Seen 155345 this morning at Huddersfield, it looks very smart! Its also had new LED light clusters fitted as well. Will these LED light clusters be fitted to the rest of the unrefurbished 155's?

Do you mean externally or internally? There is a franchise requirement to switch to more energy efficient LED lighting on trains.

When are the seats going to be done in the 319s seems a bit odd that they are still in First colours and the older Purple when they first came up here

Cheers Stu.. probably come at a good time for Northern with them seeming to be so low on units at the moment, any idea when the next lot are due?
No problem :), The next one is meant to be on the 17th which is 150120, there is a list on the dates posted somewhere in here, and on the sprinter facebook page but can't seem to find it. I think 150128 and 150108 have gone to Barton Hill to have mods I'm assuming, before being transferred to Northern.

150211, which based on other posts is the most recently done, has blue paint below the window level and at the carriage ends and white paint around and above the windows. The blue at the ends of the carriages actually make the carriages seem shorter.

The ex-FNW 150s, unlike the ex-ATN and ex-LM ones had already had an extensive refurbishment in the late 90s/early 00s. At the time the interiors were pretty much the same standard as the interiors on the brand new 357s which c2c got and most people thought they were new trains.

Makes you wonder why the same sub class were treated to an extensive refurbishment by north western/first north western but left almost unaltered by central trains/centro and northern spirit/arriva northern

Franchise policy or what?

The whole fleet could have been sorted at the same time

Also the 150s currently with ATW and GWR (except the former LO and LM examples) have all been fully refurbished once. I once heard ATN looked at the option of refurbishing their small fleet of 150s with new 2+2 seating (same type as on their 156s) including tables.

What's also strange is after NWT/FNW did so much to their 150s and made some minor improvements to the 142s and 323s, the 156s and 158s went untouched, by the time the 156s passed to Northern the carpets were so worn that they were practically non-existent in places.

The 156s were refurbished by Regional Railways North West in about 1996 I believe. This involved replacing Ashbourne seating with Chapmans. I think the carpet was replaced then, but yes it would have been very tired by the time Northern took over from FNW.
