Earlier in the year we had a large amount of Wright Eclipse single deckers brought in on the cross city 2, 3, and 4 routes.

This week I've noticed several other routes are operating "them", but I haven't noticed reductions on the cross cities'; is this a new order? There are a lot of them (on the 5, 6, and 10). Stock appears to have been cascaded as well as the 32/33 are running the (former Coventry?) Mercs.

Also, Banga Buses have got (a? some?) new bus! Very shiny newly painted Optare Solo (albeit S-reg, but still new in terms of Banga...) operating on the 530 today, finally replacing their unfit-for-purpose carpet walled vanlike mercedes'. Not sure if it's just the one.

Anyway, regardless of whether this is a new order or just a second delivery from the first (which would make sense), things are looking up for the city.

Finally, Arriva have a lot of new or new-er buses operating in the city. Noticed some shiny Wright Eclipses, Plaxton Centros, and other buses. Just a shame they never stop to pick anyone up and leave a good 15-20 minutes early -.-

The banga isn't listed here: http://wmbusphotos.com/Banga/fleetlist.html

That's great news. They've had the current mercedes' for far too long. They've had some condemned as unfit for human travel already. It's about time they lightened their image. :)
