Can some one please advise me the cheapest Single ticket option from Watford to Manchester. I have got 16-25 Rail Card as well.

Date of Journey : 26th March after 17:00

Are you literally wanting one single ticket, or a combination of tickets for a single journey which may be cheaper? Will you be making a return journey? For Off-Peak tickets, a return is often a few pence more than a single.

Can you clarify? Do you wish to just walk up to Watford Junction Ticket office and purchase the ticket on the day? or in Advance?

Then sonic2009 has probably the cheapest suggestion.
For something more flexible and quicker, you're looking at a day single from Watford Junction to Milton Keynes (£11.30) then an Off-Peak Single from Milton Keynes to Manchester Stns (£37.60). The latter is valid on all the xx50 trains from Milton Keynes to Manchester with your railcard. Total £48.90

My option will be the cheapest.

The Watford to Stoke on Trent ticket can be bought on the Day. But i'd purchase the Stoke to Manchester Advance Ticket ASAP.

The ticket booking sites, and any staffed railway station, should give you the cheapest single ticket price to Manchester.

The absolute cheapest single ticket is priced at £7.90 which is a non-refundable Advance fare (valid booked train only) and would need to be booked on trains at unpopular times around 10-12 weeks in advance, and would not be available when you wish to travel as it is too short notice. Once this price tier has sold out, the next tier is £11.90, then £16.50, £21.45 and so on.

The cheapest ticket available for immediate travel is an Off Peak Single and costs £45.55 and, given your Railcard, is valid on any Virgin train, and for just 65p more you can get an Off Peak Return. These tickets are additionally valid on London Midland but not at certain 'peak' times.

If you are asking for the absolute cheapest option, including using a combination of tickets for one journey, no-one has yet devised a way of calculating that.

People can give it a go but it cannot generally be said with certainty that any particular combination is "the cheapest". However Sonic2009s suggestion is likely to be the cheapest, or close to it.

You can book at any ticket booking website, or at any staffed station or through telesales.

Some companies offer cheaper fares when you book that companies' trains through their own website.

I am somewhat reluctant to answer when someone asks for the cheapest combination of tickets, or the 'cheapest option' especially when no details about the requirements of the customer are given, as I am concerned that the advice I give may not be applicable/helpful, or answer the question to be "the cheapest".

in from put Stoke on Trent and to Manchester Piccadilly. Select the One-Way Option. Click the Outward Journey Drop Down.

Select March 26th depart after 21 : 00

then click the Passengers drop down check it's One Adult. Tick the Railcard Option select the 16-25 railcard option. then click Search.

Wait for the Page to Load.....

you should see an option showing show other routes click this option and select the tick box Via Crosscountry Trains Only. then click update.

wait for the page to Load....

then go the top left hand corner where it shows £2 to £8.50 single box. click this. then hover down to the 2118 train from Stoke. it shows as £3.30. click this and then go to the right hand side, and click buy now and follow the instructions from there

That fare is a Super Off Peak ticket (the return is 5p more), this is a "walk up" ticket available right up to departure.

Availability

Tickets can be bought in advance or immediately before travel.
