Southern depots

[N Levers]

Hi

I was wondering if someone could provide me a list of Depots Southern use. I know of Selhurst and Brighton but thats about it.

If you mean train depots (sidings) then the only maintenance depots are Brighton lovers walk and Selhurst. The above list looks good for cleaning depots but missed off streatham hill and stewarts lane is only for Gatwick, not southern.

If you mean train crew depots then:

Victoria (both southern & Gatwick)
London bridge
Noorwood
Selhurst
Caterham
Epsom
Redhill
Bridges
Horsham
Brighton
Eastbourne
Barnham

Are you sure? I don't know any southern drivers with route knowledge down there? Only gatwick sign it. They do berth 377s at pugs hole and Battersea pier though.

West Worthing is OOU, Southern's units also stable at Eastbourne, Bognor Regis, Hove Yard, Preston Park, Brighton Wall (Near Plat 1), Caterham and, I think Redhill (Postal bay) and its 'Stewarts' not Stewards lane.... HTH

When I was a Supervisor in the GatEx shed at SL, the stock berthing there during the day was South eastern stock, all EPBs when I was there though...

Yep, two arrivals in the evening from East/West Croydon via Victoria. They then head out the following morning (unless it's Friday) for 0558 East Grinstead - Victoria and 0632 Norwood Junction - London Bridge. 1753 Victoria - East Grinstead is also stock out of Stewarts Lane, having worked in on 1005 East Grinstead - Victoria earlier in the day.

Ok, didn't know that. Suppose it's due to the increased lengths on the grinnie-the pier and pigs hole can only take 8 cars.
