As my birthday approaches, I'm being asked what I would like and as I particularly enjoyed the Marshlink cab ride DVD, I'm thinking of perhaps asking for another.

Now my question is, are there any recommendations for any?

The ones I'm looking at in particular are:
  • New Central line video from Video 125
  • Birmingham to Marylebone from 225 Studios
  • Ashford to Factory Junction on a 73 from 225 Studios

I know everybody likes different things, but any particular recommendations out there?

225 Studio's cab rides are complete but have no commentary.

Video 125's sometimes have sections cut out (quite large in parts), but do have commentary.

I personally would choose 225 Studios for any product, but that's just me.

I love Euston to Liverpool, but mainly because it was filmed in the 1980s and I am more interested in the nostalgia than a current cab ride.

There are still 501s on the DC lines out of Euston, for instance.

I enjoy 225, but Video 125 products are far superior. The picture and sound quality are in a different universe. A highly informative commentary. Professional packaging. Glass master replication rather than 225s approach of burning onto a DVD-R.

225s best point is that it is complete, but I would sacrifice a few mins cut here and there with V125, which include line side shots and even aerial views.

I have every V125 dvd (and now blu-ray) and only a handful of 225's.

V125 are far, far superior and I only buy the others if there is any real interest in the route.

Watching 225 Studio's Middlesbrough-Whitby cab ride ATM, quite a nice little line.
