So for the UK heavy rail this would be the Desiro family; is there anything else or anything for light rail systems in the UK?

333's are Siemens built in the UK :)

So actually 332's as well since they are something of the same!
332s and 333s aren't purely Siemens products though: AFAIK, they were actually built by CAF (and use many CAF components, including the bogies), but use Siemens traction equipment, so technically they would fall outside the scope of this competition.

Around the start of the 20th century Siemens constructed a number of fairly small Bo-bo electric locos, principally for industrial uses. The Harton Electric Railway in South Shields was a prolific user of this type of loco and there's a couple of examples preserved: Notably at the North Tyneside Steam Railway where they have an operational example, powered by a battery wagon.

Is anyone getting a Critical Error when trying to upload? For me it is saying that the directory is not writeable by the script.

I am running out of broadband transfer limit and have tried numerous times so can't keep going at it and will be a tad annoyed if I end up missing out on this one :(

I'll reply as I'm about, see the troubleshooting thread: http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=12869 .

You may be able to E-Mail your picture to the moderating team; they'll sort it out for you.

TP

Thanks TP. I'll give it another go though I have never had a problem with uploading these sized images before and I'm getting to a stage of running out of resources to try it and I'm not back with "normal" broadband until Monday, which is a tad late :(

Reduced it in size and still no luck. I have emailed a moderator anyway so I will hope to hear back from them

The error I'm getting is

Critical error
Destination directory albums/userpics/14084/ is not writable by the script!

Will leave it for now and see what happens later

You would be best PMing one of the usual organisers...I got hold of one of them and hopefully sorted something. Glad it isn't just me having problems anyway as I was wondering if it was me being on 3G causing a problem

I just tried to upload a photo to the compo and nope, the problem doesn't appear to have been fixed. I got the message below instead.

Critical error
Destination directory albums/userpics/17764/ is not writable by the script!

I believe the problem has (now 100%!) been rectified - I will leave it to Jordy to set a revised deadline for submissions :)
