I am not sure what has happened with Firt's open top service from Weston Super Mare to Sand bay though.

Now why can't we have a open top bus service in Porthcawl like we used to have as can been seen in my avatar.

I saw an open-topper on the 1 in WsM only last week (not exactly "vintage" though; too recent).

This sounds brilliant. Weston may be worth visiting after all! :p

Yes and a pity FGW have decided not to hire in a loco hauled set this summer to free up some dmu's to provide extra capacity between Bristol & Weymouth it would certainly have made things even better then.

I am really, really, surprised that they have managed to get hold of permission to use the original Crosville name. Most of the obsolete bus company names have been retained by those taking over the services, just for trademark/name protection purposes.

"which will be staffed by traditional uniformed bus conductors." Well, someone ought to inform them pretty soon.
Oh, uniformed.

heh, does that mean that there won't actually be any "extra services for the Olympics", then? So that was more lies, then, like the "doubling of service" that SWT are allegedly going to provide.

I can see there being some problems during the olympics with services around Bristol although I hope not.

I wouldn't be too surprised in the two 3 carriage class 150's FGW use around Bristol are used on Bristol - Weymouth services.

In addition FGW were supposed to be planning to use a hst to work an extra service between Bristol & Weymouth.
