Was wondering last night at Paddington if the station had ever seen a class 90, 91 or A 92.
What other stations have never seen certain traction?

Not sure about Paddington but a 90 made it to Heathrow during the testing phase of the Heathrow spur in 1998, not sure if it got to Paddington though.

90s and 91s would have to be dragged to reach the GWML wouldn't they? Can a 92 access it from 3rd rail land?

I think I'd be right in thinking that every other stretch of 25kV OHL on the national network (so excluding any test tracks etc) is, in some way, connected?

IIRC correctly, they could get from Paddington to the WCML under power by reversing at North Pole onto the Kennsington Olympia line for a short distance before running to Willesden. What can be done today I do not know.

Don't think so, the old connections at North Pole were severed around 1990when they built the depot. It has no access to the GW main line (though it runs alongside, on the other side of the security fence).

Any transfers would have had to go via Acton Main Line, and the Poplar Branch from the NLL is not wired.

No doubt it will be possible in the future for IEPs if they reconnect North Pole depot to the GWML.

I know a 90 went on Holiday to North Wales last year before a eagle eyed signaller spotted it and got it quickly removed as it hadn't been gauge cleared, think it got as far as Llandudno.

I'm sure I can remember a class 8x at Paddington during the Heathrow Express electrification. Not sure if it was just a load-bank rather than a locomotive in its own right though

86s have been to St.Pancras under power for sure, dragged down the Marston Vale by diesel then pan up and off they went.

Im sure that people will say a lot of traction hasn't been to a certain place, like a 73 I've never seen at Crewe, but then i have no doubt i will be corrected that is what i want for people to do.
