Why bother introducing new rangers and rovers when the existing ones are woefully underused?

Less cynically, I wonder if there will be any more details available, like exactly which bus routes are covered? The ticket is not featured on the (generally pretty useless) FGW site nor is it on NRE.

Nor is it currently mentioned in 'The Manual'

And why not valid to Evesham by rail? That would make getting to Ashchurch easier by bus.

The Bus timetables on the Cotswold AONB site are out of date.

I would like to see some more supporting information about this rover please.

Good point, thanks.
Bus timetable link added.

Kev

But that timetable is for 2010 - there have been massive changes and cuts since. And some of the routes aren't in the AONB at all

I'm reliably informed by a FGW booking clerk that the Cotswold Discoverer isn't actually available to buy yet.

GB Rail Rover Guide jumping the gun a bit.

Sounds like a May introduction in time for the majority of summer.

The current timetables are here.

As they are only valid untill June and the ranger isn't on sale yet (May possibly?) I expect it will be included in the new/ updated timetables/ information booklets available in June/ July.

Page 76 of this documents action plan alludes to; "Development of Cotswold's Rover bus/rail pass".

I've asked the Ticket Office manager of Cheltenham Spa today, and this ticket was supoosed to be released at the end of March, but developments with using it on the buses fell through.

Stagecoach being the main stumbling point.

I've been told this ticket will be released but is still being finalized.

Usefull to know.

However I'm not sure how usefull the atual rover will be but I plan on giving it a whirl later in the summer to test it out.
