So its Easter Weekend.
For some of us it means two or three weeks off uni, college, school or whatever. For others it means a long weekend off work.
Its also a time for DIY or a bit of hard core modeling. So, what disasters have you encounterd? Share them here!
I'll get the ball rolling...
Sometime last year, we altered a single socket into a double one. It was on an interior wall. We mis-judged the depth and drilled straight through into the room on the other side, we also mis-judged the saw and cut straight through. Luckily the whole lot didn't come off the other side, we just had a three sides of the square cut in the wall and a lot of damage to the plaster.
Then last summer. In August we bought a new washer, my dad decided to connect it up (despite the fact my brother is a plumber) 'yeah I used to connect these for a living he said', anyway he connected it up wrong. And for a whole week it was leaking water without us knowing. It spread all through the floors downstairs. We didn't notice until a week later when they started bowing and water came through the gaps. We said 'Yeah dad, and this is exactly why you don't fit them anymore' - Well something along them lines anyway. It ruined all the floors and skirtings downstairs and the kitchen units. After this happening in August we finaly got full straight about a week before Christmas.
Over to you...
