Looking to travel to newton abbot on the 13th July,coming back 2 days later. Wanted to know if i could do splits, in terms of avoiding using cross country voyagers, or a advanced price on other operators?

Check the HST diagrams here http://www.125group.org.uk/index.php?module=htmlpages&func=display&pid=30 then buy an advance ticket for the relavent train.

XC in my view have got a lot better at sticking to the diagrams, the 6:00 Leeds - Plymouth has always been a HST everytime I've done it/seen it, getting into Newton Abbot at about 11:10. The splits mentioned by the first poster seem the most logical ones to me.
