Sorry I can't answer your question but is Aylesbury depot easily visible from public rights of way? It's about 20 years since I last visited. I keep meaning to take a day trip there, partly to do the line to Parkway but wondered if it was a worthwhile trip to see the depot.

I would be travelling from Northolt Park, West Ruislip or South Ruislip via High Wycombe.

I'm not sure why "A Shroppy Lad" was at Aylesbury over the weekend, it's usually a stock move for wheel lathe attention but I didn't notice any Mark IIIs with it. Today it was back in service on the Banbury diagram, with 67 018 transferred off the Banbury to work one of the Mainline sets (it was on the 18:07 Kidderminster tonight, after 67 015 had problems last night at Marylebone with creating a brake).

Yeah. There is a public footpath in the form of a gigantic bridge which sits between the station and the depot and you can walk along the side of the path by the supermarket and see though the fence, though vegetation can be an issue over the summer months. (google maps)
The front of Aylesbury station has changed a lot recently too. Not the station building itself but the area immediately outside of it. It looks quite nice now.
