If you are confident you've passed everything and the company admitted that, your (new version) guards assessment is valid at other operators, or for further applications with that company, ie no need to sit it again.

No 6-month wait rubbish candidates for successful at assessment, despite what Southern told candidates recently. The six month re-apply period is a 'company' rule and they are perhaps the only company to introduce this rule.

the upshot is ive asked for feedback and the two guys who interviewed me will call and advise me where i did or didnt go wrong ( i knew one of them from when i was on before )

im not blowing my own trumpet at all but with 10years on the railway as a guard under my belt and a 100% working history since then and role related ,
passing all the assessments , even swapping days at there request for the interview

and giving what i thought was a good interview , i was fluid and confident , gave good answers and examples , i do wonder what more i could have done :D

im not being bitter all though i think they should at least give a free ticket for travel but it does make you wonder eh i cant change who i am

or are these structured interviews so structured that at the end of the process when my face cant be placed to my name because of sheer numbers , they look at the amount of times i said safety or customer service etc add then all togeather and score me against the next man :)

dont get me wrong ill try again if and when there are more vacancies

i would like to return to the railways and still to this day consider it the highlight of my working life so far

for now ill plod on and keep an eye open
