I'm currently on 1A34 Manchester Pic to London Euston 1235-1439, which is carrying two and a half trains' worth of people. 1A32 and possibly some others have been cancelled due to a one-under, possibly involving 1H64 earlier on. Delays are expected for a while yet. Sorry I don't have any more information. Only going off the TM's announcements (which have been quite informative).

I was on 1A18 0700 MAN-EUS (due 0858) which got into Euston a tidy 49 minutes late. We actually came to a stop on the up fast at Berkhamsted for about 20 minutes but couldn't see anything and the station was certainly open.

Spirits on the train weren't too bad and it wasn't any busier than normal.

Looking at live departures it looks like 2W51 05.54 MKC to EUS had the fatality.

When I passed this morning there was a 67 + Barriers + Unit doing what I presume was a move to Wolverton. It was stopped south of Berko on the down slow with police in front. My money is on this...

It's unclear whether the train you describe was directly involved in the incident or not. I think they may have been using that train as a shield so they could have the fast lines open and still do forensics and stuff.

2Y01 0530 EUS BHM reported the body. Chances are the driver of the train involved was unaware.

Correct, this was confirmed on the SouthernGEN earlier this morning, was a SE 465 to Wolverton - good move to use it as a barrier.
