Does anyone know if either of these two lines have had any progress with respect to adding to Merseyrail network. I think Bidston to Wrexham, was their higher priority ?

Bidston to Wrexham is still with NR and I can't see it changing hands anytime soon either.

As freight uses some of it I can't see Network Rail letting it go to a council controlled long term franchise.
