Freight Train Drivers - Nationwide

We are looking for flexible part-time (zero hours) fully-qualified train drivers nationwide to work together with our freight teams to provide fast and efficient services that are flexible, reliable and cost effective to all our clients.

You will preferably have Class 47 & 66 traction knowledge, but full training will be provided as required.

Looking at it, I wonder how many qualified drivers are there without a job, and how many drivers with a job could still squeeze in the zero hour job? A bit odd ad if you ask me

I would say with perhaps the exception of freight drivers, qualified drivers are in employment but having a 4 day / 35 hour week have plenty of days off so there is scope for them to do extra work.

However they will just work rest days for the company they are already working for and I am certain that this activity will need to be discussed with management as most contracts quote if a driver is contemplating doing work elwhere managment must be informed. This zero hours is the same as West Coast Rail and they are usually targetting unemployed qualified drivers or retired drivers who want to continue working. There is also a risk element if a driver already employed is going to work for another company on a regular basis both to themselves and the company employing them

I wonder if its over routes signed only or if you could route learn anywhere
