Just remove your email subscriptions in the user panel then click the X in the top right corner. That should remove all physical interaction between you and the forum.

It's been discussed many times, you cannot delete your account i do believe, just remove all email subscriptions and you will not get any emails.

A bit odd not being able to delete your account though. Why is this?

Because if all your posts are removed then there will be massive gaps in topics which would then mean that those topics, and a lot of other replies, make no sense at all.

I might sound harsh here but s/he shouldn't have posted anything in the first place then.

This is the point that I made when I said that many forum members do not totally read all the carefully written forum provisos and rules. Had this person done this, he would have already read (and hopefully understood) all of these, before making any commitment which he would then knew to be irreversible.
