In spite of there supposedly being an 'early release' of Advance Fares to encourage people to use public transport, Virgin still don't have any for the Olympic period. (not even for those additional late night services to Liverpool & Manchester). Does anyone have any idea when they will be released ?
(e.g. 01:00 Euston to Liverpool service on 01/08/12)

My presumption is that they predict the trains will be busy, so are only releasing the higher band fares, their website says tickets are available.
I'm travelling on the 27th July, no where near as cheap as usual. As I've decided that as I don't know when I'm coming back, I'm just going to buy the walk up railcard open return fare. So long as I get a seat, I'll be happy!

Sorry, I had assumed you were a ticketholder!

Oops, I didn't realise my message could be read that way. I am a ticket holder, but that's for a music festival in Margate and a flight out the country a couple of days later :) ha ha ha!

with games ticket holders having booked many tickets, presumably the "general sale" advances when they do go up for that period may be more limited in availability than normal?
