Most of the recruitment has finished for the Clapham extension. As they are now pretty much nearing a full compliment of drivers it will be a while before any trainee intakes.

The last vacancy they had (that I was aware of) was for dispatchers at Norwood and West Croydon, that closed on the 4th. Something should hopefully turn up soon

Currently London Overground are not recruiting any staff. Both the Drivers and Guards roles are over filled (to guarantee the Olympic service levels). Dispatch staff, station staff, are also full up. Very few jobs come round even on the internal vacancy list.

Just keep looking is all i can say.

Patience my friend. If there's one thing you'll learn as you try to become a trainee driver is that you have to wait. Obviously some wait longer than others for their 'shot', but its usually years not months. I personally have had 2 managers interviews, 2 assessments and 1 medical and yet still not in the door, and there are plenty of members on here that will say the same.

Keep trying, and as long as you don't die or reach retirement age in the meantime, keep trying even more..you'll get there.

As for LOROL thats twice in around 3 years Ive seen a major recruitment campaign by them. So just wait and they will be advertising again before you know it!!

EDIT!

Just as i wrote my message and left for work i received an email regarding internal vacancies. They advertised 8 posts for station staff/dispatch East London Line and 16 posts for drivers New Cross Gate.

Currently they are internal but keep checking the LOROL website should these vacancies go into the public domain.
