A super off-peak period return would be nice as well, but we can't have it all, can we?Cheap train tickets from Cambridge to London will have fewer restrictions under the latest pricing regime announced by franchise operator Greater Anglia.
The firm, part of Dutch transport giant Abellio, is ending the evening limits on its off-peak day return tickets to Liverpool Street, meaning the return journey can be made at any time after 10am.
It is also extending its weekend-only super off-peak day return tickets to cover weekdays, although they will be restricted to trains arriving in London after noon and leaving before 3.59pm or after 7.01pm. They can still be used on any weekend train as usual.
The changes will be rolled out next Monday (May 20) and apply to Greater Anglias West Anglia line, which links Cambridge and London via Audley End, Newport, Elsenham, Stansted Mountfitchet, Bishops Stortford and Sawbridgeworth.
