I think the Warhammer Techpriests I saw on a Tram at the weekend might take some beating

Sorry - don't understand. Of what might they take details? Are you still seeing them?

(I do know what a Warhammer Techpriest is, though. When I start being pursued by them after encountering them in trams I'll know to put more water in my whisky). :D

Other than myself you mean?

Well, not 'odd' as such, but I once ran into an Australian Aboriginal couple on a GNER express from Edinburgh to London. The husband was a driver on 'The Ghan', so we were able to compare notes on our differing railway systems. The train was absolutely wedged, so we had to stand most of the way.

Been there, done that (well, without the inappropriate actions :P).

i could have sworn i once saw an ex Tory cabinet minister, clutching a copy of an ancient timetable from the 1860s.

Bumped into Portillo at Westminster tube station once. This was in 2008 so I'm not sure what business he had there

After a sponsored bike read, we came back on a train from London with 50 guys dressed in blues brothers garb.

Checkout Alloa Bus Station (Shillinghill) or any bus arriving or leaving from there.

Its a bit like "Jeremy Kyle" on the road ....or should that be bus

Naturally I fit in very well

On my way back from honeymoon in Edinburgh in 1980 on the Flying Scotsman, the rest of the First Class carriage was taken up with the wives of the High Commissioner of Malawi, all dressed in identical peacock blue robes, with a photograph of the President printed on the front. A very happy and friendly bunch, noisily singing and dancing all the way, especially when we saw the sea before Berwick. But the oddest bit was when we were served with cheese and biscuits after lunch. They had obviously never seen radishes before, and, after deciding they were inedible, they invented a game, a cross between marbles and hockey, played up and down the aisle, using said vegetables..

In the late 1990's, a couple of very brave souls dressed as The Pink Panther and Fred Flintstone on their way to a fancy-dress party boarded the service 19 bus from Prestbury to Macclesfield that I was on, at Broken Cross. They received a "raucous" reception when alighting, from the passengers at Macclesfield bus station..:D

QANTAS flight attendant on her way home on the train one night (Melbourne) listening to her ipod and singing ABBA songs out aloud...

That was certainly quite different.

There's a group of women who must belong to some sort of society that all dress up in very formal-looking tan-coloured suits and regularly travel on buses in Bath, especially on the routes up the A4 London Road. I think it has something to do with Morris Dancing.

That is a contradiction :P

And if you are going to diss the University of Bath Folk Dance Society know that my mother is an ex-president of said group.

Is that what it is? It still looks very odd!

I was right in that it had something to do with dancing...

Having recently being on LUL I'd say it was passengers who conversed in English

I see lots of very odd passengers. However the three that stick out the most all have the same thing in common, they are all carrying a large trolley, or one of those trolleys that people use to move large items about.

Firstly a gentleman always used to board trains between Stratford-Upon-Avon and Henley-In-Arden in the early 2000's. He was always most polite but wheeled various strange items around on his trolley. These included a microwave (this appeared many times), what looked like a car engine, and random bits of metal. One day the car engine parts appeared on top of the microwave and tied together with rope.

More recently there was a bloke at Spalding, Again with a trolley, and his own plank of wood to use as a ramp to get the trolley on the train. Being carried on his contraption were several carrier bags full of tinned peas.

And finally a passenger on the Lincoln-Newark line usually wheels a trolley with objects on it. Last time it was a record player. This is accompanied by much gesticulating from the passenger and loud shouts of "change here form Horncastle".

Sounds like a Time Lord. I expect it was probably something he was experimenting with. Probably nothing to be worried about,
too much.

Do I remember correctly someone describing seeing someone drunk, dressed as a giant banana, standing on a platform with a pair of maracas singing 'Peanut butter jelly time'?
