Royal Train in use

Saw it heading towards Stamford at 14:00 through Oakham top and tailed

Assume its on the way to meet back up with the Queen at Stamford after taking her up to Nottingham earlier this morning so it will probably go down the ECML from Stamford

Also saw the train parked up in Peterborough Yard been guarded by the old bill about 20.00 last night.

Does anybody have a list of the coaching stock in use as I understand it has been back out on the system again today.

It went through MKC about an hour ago heading, I guess, for home base - a picture is on my twitter (@MKDarlo). The first vehicle seemed to be a non royal train vehicle but instead a DBS company train sleeper vehicle

According to my sister, The Grove stopped at Hitchin to drop off the royal party, then disappeared. Probably did a loop via the NLL. The Queen went round Hitchin, then by car to Stevenage to open a replacement for the maternity ward in which I was born, then headed off for Hatfield. I have pictures, but they won't be developed for a while.

There seemed to be plenty of police at Hitchin station this morning when my train called there. I hope the train called at the northbound platform & she didn't have to walk through the subway!

The article online on the comet website (local paper) says she arrived using FCC.

2903 would certainly have been in it when it runs with Her Majesty on board.

2904 if the Duke was present - not sure if they would include it if he was not.

If the Prince of Wales was using the train instead, those two vehicles would be removed and 2916 and 2922 used in their place.

The rest of the fleet is 2915, 2917, 2918, 2919, 2920, 2921, 2923 - not sure if 2918 is currently in use or not.
