I hear that there is lots of anomalies on the ECML.
I buy a super off peak return for £27.15 with YP railcard.

Is there a way of making this cheaper at all by using split ticketing / easements?

I have managed to get a £0 excess issued to go from KGX to Alexandra palace due to some double back rule. They were not keen on doing it.
Even better would be if it included zone 5 tube as well!
Many thanks.

What day (and approx time) will you be travelling, what is your starting tube station and do you hold any season/travelcard and also railcard?

Doing kgx-arlesey and arl-pbo used to be a good one, and if you have a network railcard look at huntingdon.

Have YP railcard
I always travel off peak like 9pm. Tube station could be something like harrow and wealdstone, harrow on the hill, finsbury park
I need a month return as can come back anytime within a month
I prefer East Coast but can use FCC if price is right.
Thanks
I tried the Arlsey PBO KGX route and it works out about £34. The FCC only fare is about £24 and the East Coast one is £27.15
