Whilst booking my DIY 1st Class ALR to various Northern English Cities in the coming weeks I came across the fact you can only book a maximum of 4 online transactions per day on East Coast.

However one of the four bookings did contain three journeys on different days.

A message came up on the fourth transaction to that effect.:p

Why would you need to use the East Coast website (assume this is where you are visiting) if you already have the ALR?
I have never had any problem processing 5 or more reservations with any ticket

I assume DIY meant they don't actually have an ALR but instead have booked advance tickets for all of their journeys :)

That's not an ALR then, it's more like a Grand Day Out, and I do those all the time
However, I don't use East Coast for this, other websites have better discounts

I've just booked a batch of tickets on RedSpotted and they too only allow a maximum of four bookings per day.

But do the other websites give better discounts on journeys on the ECML? I've seen posts from Butts saying he has been to York, Newcastle, etc which suggests he is using East Coast services.
