Hi
I have a fancy to try and catch this tour as it passes through Newcastle for some photos. Where / How can I find rough timings for each pass through the Newcastle area to determine when I should show up? The A1 Steam Loco Trust site does not give timings, I guess if you were booked on it you would know when it was due into Newcastle :D Thanks for any assistance.

Regards
Richard

Sorry to but in on this conversation, but has anyone heard or seen any full times for this tour. Been checking on uksteaminfo and haven't seen anything on it and it's getting ever so closer to the day of the tour now.

Regards

Jack

A few questions from me about this tour (help with them is appreciated):
-Is D9009 now mainline registered and able to haul this tour?
-If so is D9009 taking the tour outwards?
-Anyone got any times for the tour? :P

Sorry for the questions, I've been struggling to find any gen on this!

Thanks,

D9009 is at Wembley yard now, close to the main lines where they usually leave the 66s/67s

Today's trip was the first outing on the main line for D9009 since July 2003. I'm looking forward to 06.50 tomorrow morning!

Ive just had a call from my dad to say a family friend of ours is getting a cab ride this very moment, I am very jealous to say the least of Mr J D!

He had a cab ride to Newcastle - it helps when you used to work for the TOC!

Stonking run north despite the initial problems, plenty of running at 90+ and only 10 or so late into Edinburgh. Tornado equally impressive, got to Berwick in under an hour.

Where did you get to? I was hoping for a picture at York but it was a bit late, we didn't even pass before 46115 got to Colton Junction. (BTW, 46115 was well worth foregoing some sleep for :D)

Silencer fire (nothing new there for a Deltic!) delayed us a bit. 40 late by York but we caught up most of it. Mind you, the tour forgot to stop at Durham where it was due to pick up. (Passengers joining there had to catch EC to Newcastle where we waited for them.)

Thought something was wrong, it was positively sedate through Sandy.
